Day 13
Day 13: Inner Child Work: Reparenting Your Wounded Self
“Your 8-year-old self is running your relationships—time to heal them.”
Let’s break down how inner child work heals:
The Wounded Child: Childhood trauma (e.g., neglect, criticism) creates emotional wounds that shape your adult behaviors.
The Inner Child: A part of your psyche that holds those unmet needs and fears.
Reparenting: Giving your inner child the love, safety, and validation they missed.
How It Helps Codependency:
It uncovers the roots of your people-pleasing (e.g., ‘If I’m perfect, I’ll be loved’).
It builds self-compassion, so you no longer seek validation externally.
It empowers you to set boundaries from a place of love, not fear.
Your workbook today makes this deeply personal and healing.

Day 13
Assignment Notice
Your mission today is to write a Letter to Your Inner Child. Use your workbook to:
Visualize Your Younger Self: Picture them at a specific age (e.g., 5, 10).
Acknowledge Their Pain: ‘I see how scared you were. It wasn’t your fault.’
Offer Love and Safety: ‘I’m here now. You’re safe. You’re loved.’
This isn’t about reliving pain—it’s about rewriting the story. You might feel sadness, anger, or relief… and that’s okay. Healing isn’t linear.
Tomorrow, we’ll explore somatic healing. But today, celebrate this: You’re giving your inner child the love they’ve always deserved.
Remember: You are both the child and the adult now. And you’re doing an amazing job. See you tomorrow!
